Privacy Policy
Effective October 12, 2026
This policy explains how information is handled when you use NAD Atlas, follow its links or contact the publication. It applies to this website, not to the services of a provider or other third party.
Information you provide
You can read this website without an account. If you email us, we receive your email address, the message and any attachments or other details you choose to send. We use that information to respond, investigate corrections, handle privacy or legal requests and maintain records of correspondence.
We do not operate medical intake, prescription, payment or provider-account services. Do not send medical records, prescription details, payment-card information or other sensitive information to our publication addresses. Direct questions about treatment, orders or billing to the service involved.
Technical information and analytics
Hosting, delivery and security services may process information such as IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, referral information, timestamps and diagnostic logs to deliver the website, investigate errors and protect against misuse.
We use Google Analytics to understand visits and interactions with the site. Depending on your cookie choice, analytics can involve cookie identifiers, device and browser information, pages viewed, approximate location and interaction events. Our page-location configuration omits query strings. Advertising storage, advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in our analytics configuration.
Cookies and your controls
Analytics is enabled by default on this website. Select Decline in the cookie notice to disable Google Analytics measurement and remove its analytics cookies in this browser. Select Accept to permit analytics. Use here or in the footer to change the choice.
Your choice is stored locally on this browser and device. Clearing website data, switching browsers or using another device may require you to choose again. Browser settings can also block or remove cookies; doing so may affect remembered preferences. Essential delivery or security functions may still process technical information. This website’s choice does not control cookies or tracking on an affiliate network or destination website.
Tools and comparisons
Our calculators, checklists, directory filters and comparisons run in your browser. We do not ask for medical history to use them, and their entered amounts and checklist choices are not submitted to a backend by the tools. Analytics may record general page or interaction events when enabled. Some directory and comparison choices appear in the page address, so they may remain in browser history or in a link you share.
Printed or saved results are controlled by your browser and device. Avoid placing sensitive information in a shared page address or sending it to us through email.
Affiliate links and third parties
Following a provider or partner link may involve a redirect through an affiliate network. The network and destination may receive technical information associated with the request, referral identifiers and information you subsequently provide. They may use cookies or similar technologies to attribute a referral or provide their services.
We may receive referral or commission reports containing information needed to reconcile qualifying activity. The information available depends on the program; this does not give us access to your provider’s clinical records. We do not control third-party websites, and their privacy policies apply when you use them. See our Affiliate Disclosure for how commercial links support the publication.
How information is used and shared
Information is used to operate and improve the website, understand readership, respond to correspondence, maintain security, administer referral relationships and meet legal obligations. Service providers supporting hosting, analytics, communications and security may process information for those purposes.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with legal process, address fraud or security threats, protect rights, or support a transfer or reorganization of the publication subject to applicable protections. We do not publish reader correspondence or contact details without a separate basis to do so. We do not sell medical records or run a medical-record collection service.
Retention, security and international processing
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to requests, maintaining necessary business records, resolving disputes and meeting legal obligations. Retention varies by information type and the services involved; correspondence, logs and analytics data do not necessarily share one retention period.
Reasonable safeguards are used to protect information, but no transmission or storage system can be guaranteed secure. Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries, where privacy protections may differ from those where you live.
Privacy requests and children
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict particular uses. To make a request, contact data@nadatlas.com and describe the information and action involved. We may need proportionate information to verify a request. Some records may need to be retained, and rights or exceptions depend on applicable law. Where an appeal right applies, you may use the same address to ask us to review a decision.
This publication is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact the privacy address so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Requests about information held by a provider should be sent to that provider.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the website or its practices change. The effective date identifies the current version; additional notice will be provided where required. A future feature with different information practices will need an appropriate policy update.
